Forget webbing and rope: Hanging a hammock with duct tape. (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2005/04/duct_tape_stres.html) The comment about making a hammock from duct tape really got me.

I don't think I carry enough duct tape on the trail to use this technique.

Throw in the duct tape and you've got PROBLEMS!!
