I am looking for a very heavy pair of hiking boots. If you have information on where to get hiking boots that weigh over 7 pounds. If you have an old pair of heavy waffle stompers that are in good shape and weigh atleast 7 pounds drop me a line.

Sorry Dude,
Had my last pair Bronzed in 1978. They're hanging from the rear view mirror of the 1965 Surburban I gave up in 1987. If you only could have been there... :damnmate:

You can probably still buy a pair if you look around. You just need to look under one of the other names hiking boots used to go by in my youth. Try looking under "workboots".

P.S. What I'd like to find is the light weight version of hiking footwear that I wore when I was younger, they were called "sneakers" or "tennis shoes".

- I can find shoes that bear a slight resemblance to them, but no all purpose canvas sneakers.
What happened to Converse Allstar Hightops? I really miss them.:bawling:

I gotta ask... Why?

don't answer if it's none of my business... i'm just curious by nature.

I miss the canvas sneakers too... spent a lot of hours in the pond/swamp behind the house with them. dried out in about an hour.

I use the Meindl Perfect (http://www.meindl.de/deutsch/modelle/schuh_detail2.asp?ID=64) but I've never seen boots that weighs over 7lb. I guess that my boots weigh 5lb.

Here's a couple of links you guys might like.

For stuff (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/) in general

And for some Converse All-Stars (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=196168) (not plain colored though).

Even some Converse Camp Boots (http://www.sportsmansguide.com/cb/cb.asp?a=192180) that seem to be a camp version of the All-Stars.

Cool!! Didn't think they made them any longer.
But 23 bucks!?!!
I use to buy them at 5 dollars a pair.
I would get 2 pair and that would last me a year.
