Here is a link to a picture of the new tent I am thinking of getting. I am worried about the weight though.

Just replace the poles with carbon fiber and you should be okay.

Get that woman inside to sherpa it for you and there is no pack weight added!

Buy two so you can keep the spa separate from your sleeping quarters.

It all depends if your putting the spa in with the fully stocked bar area. . .

JimTanker, can you loan me that one real quick for my deer and elk camp tent? I promise to clean it up real good when I am done....

What I really want to know is, do the highback chairs nest inside the banquet table? Because if they don't... well I'm just not going to buy it!

It bothers me that they don't list the set-up time for that tent.
What do you think? Under two minutes I would say .. easy with practice.

That also reminds me, I'm not carrying nearly enough starch for
my "dress linens" on the trail.

Iceman - You're about the only person I know that could actually pack that thing. It might actually lighten YOUR load.

Turk - I figure you would know more about that tent than anyone. It is of Canadian manufacture.

I figure silnylon and some sort of polycarbon poles. Use titanium stakes, and use an eyeletless design, should be able to get it under 100#s easy.

Seriously, I keep going back and looking at that thing. Amazing. Like the Trail Quest TeePee.

I used to carry a tent like that, but one day the rain fly came loose and crushed a family of 6 that was passing by.

I think it includes decorating tips from Martha Stewart with the set up instructions. BD

Holy hotels, Batman! Let us know when you go shlepping THAT puppy on the trails. I really want to watch that. I'll bring the oxygen.

Indeed, you just might want to pack the spa seperately. A horse and travois poles might also help. This thread is the best laugh I've had all day! Thanks.

Best,
Mal

I dont carry that tent around. I have Iceman to do that for me. And believe you me, he could carry it if he had to. Ever see anyone carry out a full elk all by themselves?

What no second floor? Looks like you'd be a bit cramped.
