Couldn't sleep and was bouncing around the net when I came across an old post on what looks like an abandoned page:

Beginning Jan. 1, 2004 TengoInternet and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are starting a pilot program to offer wireless Internet service at the five parks, Choke Canyon State Park (Calliham) near Three Rivers, Blanco State Park near Blanco, Balmorhea State Park near Toyahvale, Goose Island State Park near Rockport, and Ray Roberts Lake State Park (Isle du Bois) near Pilot Point.

While I don't think I would be very likely to ever use such a service, I was curious to know if it was still running, and if it had expanded.

Dropkick, you want to see this webpage (http://www.tengointernet.com/tengozones.htm) at Tengo Internet. There's more info (http://www.tengointernet.com/campers.htm) too.

Wireless access in the middle of a forrest? Weird idea, but also quite logical. Implemented in a good way it might enhance the experience.

Several California parks have wireless. I have a friend who has used it right from his campsite before.
