Congradulations, do you have a baby carry back pack yet? I took my first son to the zoo in one when he was only 9 days old.
have fun

I always thought those slings would be useful, and lighter than the pack carriers, but we never got one. (Except I always think it's funny when guys are wearing pink ones...)
Just tried the sling we got. However, since it's a 'fancy' (read way to thick of padding and such) one Caleb overheated really bad... I need to look into getting one of the more traditional ones made out of a single piece of fabric and a hook ring...
Thanks for the well wishes guys! It may go without saying, but I'll be rather sparse with posing a lot.
PS - yeah, I'm looking forward to the excuse...er reason to purchase more outdoor stuff...

Lanthar-
Congrats on the beautiful baby boy. A neighbor sent me a card on the birth of my third..."Boys make the best sons!" Cute sentiment.
Ah, um-From my side of the world, you and Mom don't look old enough to be parents. I must be REALLY getting old...
Enjoy your son. Kids grow up way too fast.

So, do you have your first trip together planned yet? :-)

 By today's standards you're pretty correct. I'm 27 and my wife is 22. However, I'm really glad we started having kids now (though it was about 3 years ahead of 'schedule'... oops...), as I get to enjoy him (and any others) before I get too old to 'keep up'. ;)

Actually, the church I go to is having a 'dads and lads' campout in september... ;)
Congrats Lanthar...I usually don't say much around here but EXPLOIT this...Seeker is right. When your wife catches you with a new _____ (fill in the blank)...you simply look woefully into her eyes and respond 'A boy can never have too many ______ !
Congrats on your new son from up the road in Iowa. One of my 4 grandson's is Caleb and my youngest daughter was born on the 30th as well. So...your alright :)
