The Complete Walker IV

I am rereading my Colin Fletcher library and am currently on this book. Would any of us be backpacking today if it hadn't been for his books. I have read all the he wrote. I probably started with "The Complete Walker" then CWII and "The Thousand Mile Summer" my favorite, then "The Man who Walked through time" another good one. "The Winds of Mara" and "The Man from the Cave" are also good works. The River is so so. CWIII was also good. I have explored some of the areas looking for that cave the man lived in , no luck. Colin is a guy that had his priorities right, kind of makes you want to say shove the rat race and go walking.

In my estimation The Complete Walker (any version) is the best hiking/camping book ever written, and I've read a lot of them.
