Hi All

My name is Matt and I live in Bali Indonesia and run the occasional kids survival program. www.campbali.com click on eduventure link.
I do this for fun as there isnt heaps of money in it and the kids love it. I would like to try hammocks as part of my program and wanted to know if you guys had a good design I could copy. It wouldnt be any problem for me to get them made here. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks

First of all, welcome to the HQ!

As a project, you could make your own. Here is a link to the one I made recently. http://hikinghq.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1828

There is another in the homemade gear section that I posted too.

So, in other words, instead of making something simple that anyone can make and use, you want to steal someones patent and make money for yourself?

Not sure if I'm clear on the point.

Hey Jim

Please dont hold back on what you really think... but no I wasnt tryint to steal anyones ideas nor was trying to offend you. From past experince with other forums on different topics I had experinced a huge free info exchange. Since I have never seen a camping hammock I was hoping to get some ideas.
My potential market was the expat kids here in Bali that do my program. If I made a few bucks it wouldnt be that much.

Mandorak - it's common practice to put a link in your signature file to let folks know when you're associated with a manufacturer...and that your advice may be biased by that association. If you need help creating a sig, I'll be happy to help.
