SO I just built a stove out a foster's oil can and a Natural light can. It burns on 75ml of Alcohol and will boil in 8 minutes. Its light, dont know how much yet but its very nice. I have a MSR Titan Kettle and it stores in there. It is modeled afterthe Penny Alcohol stove just slightly modified

75ml of Alcohol for a boil, is that for 16oz of water?

Welcome to the brotherhood of homemade alcohol stoves.

-Yes I know brotherhood isn't p.c. or even very accurate, but personhood and brosishood sound stupid (on top of being made up words), I don't really care about being p.c., and I couldn't think up another word I liked as well.

I like Guild of Stovemakers.
See, there's 4 stages: interest, apprenticeship, journey class, and mastery.

2 1/2 oz. in eight minutes?

I'm not at all sure I could build a stove that would burn that fast.

Now that you're a level one stovie you'll need to build the next one so as to be able to actually touch the handles when you're ready to lift the pot.
