Under Armour

Has anyone used this stuff? Real pricey, but is supposed to stand up to the claims.

Is it long underwear or body armor? I presume the latter would be a might heavy for you ultralighers. :D Maybe it's for hiking in grizzly country.

Ya DebW it is moisture managment first layer stuff. I am link ignorant, so do a search for "Under Armour"

Under Armour was designed for athletes to wear under pads...football, lacrosse, etc.. It's designed to offer "compression": it fits very snuggly like compression or bicycle shorts.. imho, it would be an uncomfortable alternative to other base layers as it is way too snug for me...
