Over on whiteblaze.net I can't reply to posts or private messages nor can I start new threads. When I go to click on a topic things turn red. I log on just fine. Any ideas?

Lone Wolf, I don't have the answer to your specific problem. The site is a bit unstable on my computer. My guess is that it's related to the DHTML (or whatever they are using) for special effects like the light around the links, etc.
Back when I used to do websites, that and some scripts caused problems for some viewers.
Lone Wolf,
I can't post or do anything over there either. I could not post last night and I just checked to see if I could now, and I still cant. Over there I am Walkerat99, but when Rock moved the white blaze over here for a couple of days, it would not let me sign on with that name so I changed it, just for this site. At any rate, I think the symptoms you have with posting are the same as mine, I am shown as being on with my name, and I can browse everywhere, but when I go to post it lights up but does not go to the posting screen as it does here. Don't have a clue myself maybe someone out there will know what is the problem.

Lone Wokf,
When I click on a different heading over at Whiteblaze it moves around on the screen or actually drops down a quarter inch or so. Very strange, and not very stable or something. I noticed that yesterday also, but just thought maybe someone had changed it to do that on purpose. I just roll the mouse over the heading and it moves. Oh well, I am sure Sgt. Rock or Atroll will figure it out, I sure don't know what is going on. Hey, I don't know maybe it is just my computer since I have been have some problems.

Justme, on the top of the page where the green boxes are that contain user cp, register, f.a.q., etc., the one with "gallery" is a different green with a small white box next to it.
Lone Wolf,
Yep, mine is a different color and has been for several days. Mine is a partial blue or at least some of the letters are in the word "gallery". All the rest of the buttons are green and look the same. Is yours the same? and do the topic when you roll the mouse over them move ? or the boxes where the headings are for the topic.
Stange, but then my computer has been acting strange for a week or so. Hope it is not just mine... but it may be..

I have no ideas as to what the problem is over there LW. I was just able to post a new thread on the general forum. Rock is due back sometime late tonight. I did notice its acting a bit sluggish, probably something to do with the server. Just a guess mind ya.

Oh forgot to answer a few of the questions too....
Yes the gallery button is different, a blueish green with a white box next to it, for me too.
I think ATTroll made the topics highlight which can cause the screen to appear to move on some of them when you mouse over them. That's kinda annoying at first until I figured out what it was.
As for being able to post, I was able to, and it appears that easy is able to. Not sure why you others aren't. LW I went in and your account looks fine, says you are registered, but Rock hasn't taught me much about this bulletin board software so my knowledge is limited.
I'm hoping Troll will know what the problem is, I'll pm him right now and let him know some folks are having trouble posting and such... since I have no clue when Rock will be home to figure it out.
Hang in there folks. :)
Dixicritter,
Thanks for the info and I will let you know it is doing something else funny over there now. Now instead of the just one heading moving, the entire page moves when you move the mouse near the top of the page. Also I was unable to really do anything over, no private message, no profile check, or anything except read the forums. Oh well, just to let you know, but don't worry about it. I know this is a headache for you with all the problems. I don't post that often anyway, I mostly just lurk over there. However I did want to report the problems in the event others are having trouble and it may help Troll or Sgt. Rock to locate with more information.
Have a great day....
Sincerely,
Ed

Ed,
I don't mind hearing about it honestly. I pm'd Troll with a link to this thread so that maybe he can get to the bottom of things. Right now it seems like very few members over there can post. I've only seen three members post in the last hour besides myself, and I'm on admin status over there. Not sure what the deal is honestly. ~shrug~ Oh well, I've allerted the cavalry I hope. :D

Lone Wolf,
Might try right clicking on item and then selecting "open link".

I can post now. but am i gonna have to right click everytime i want to reply or post?
as you probably know, i'm not a member of whiteblaze. however i took a look at the forum's generated source code to see if i could figure out your problems with things jumping around. well, it seems they are using a "hover filter - glow" style in their style sheet. this is probably causing the jumping around. it's supposed to just light up buttons and links when your mouse moves over them, but "hover" is notorious for causing browser problems. some browsers just can't do hover events very well. mine seems okay (ie ver 6.X).
Groucho & Chief,
Thanks for the information, I can also post on the whitenet now, as long as I open the link. As far as the moving screen, I am glad someone can figure it out. Thanks for the help and information.
Sincerely,
Ed
the 2 problems are probably related - the jumping and the having to use "open link". funny things happen when you embellish too much, as with the "hover" token.

Personally I hate that hover stuff, the boxes resize on me when I go to open links. Very annoying.
I removed the hover option so now hopefully everything will work. Sorry.

Yup. It's back to normal. Thanks.
Phew! I don't know how the hover option made it do that. It should not have. But I will leave it off the system. Just glad it works now. I was worried for a little bit there. Becuase I have not done any mods since 30 Janurary and it was working fine then. The hover mod has been in there for over a week. But just to make sure I will leave it out. Sorry one more time.
attroll,
Thanks for taking the hover option off, whatever that is. My browser is working again over on whiteblaze like it did orginally. Just so you will know I am using IE ver 5 if that makes any difference. I may download ver 6 later just in case I have more problems. Thanks for the fix on this one.. I had no clue what it was and thought maybe it was my computer, until Lone Wolf posted about the same problem he was having.
Thanks again... and have a great evening.
Sincerely,
Ed
