Good question but "When you go into court you are putting yourself in the hands of 12 people that weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty" includes the judge and my attorney. just sayin.

I have one I use for dayhiking and as an OhShit bag.

It carries pretty well if you keep the weight down. The hip belt pockets are worthless and a waste of zipper weight IMO.

I have an older style Jam II (no hipbelt pockets) and it is my 'go-to' pack for day hiking, ski trips and heavier (social) backpacks. It is an all around use pack.

Been very pleased with it in the 3+ yrs of hard use I've put on it.

I have an older Jam2 also. I use it year round. It is a nice shape for cross-country skiing.
I pack it with my blue foam pad rolled up like a cylinder, but its still comfy that way, although it limits the usefulness of the outside pocket. I haven't figured out the best way to carry my Kelly Kettle with it. Might make some modifications one of these years.

Might be using it this weekend. We'll see.
