How's the snow where you live? We had a few flakes in Dec. I saw where the record low for G-ville was 10 in 1985. The Hammock Hangers should have perfect weather for their hangout at Buck Lake in ONF tomorrow. Lows in the 30's. I want to go but too much going on at home.

Took Blaze to the vet today. I really like the Advantix. She never got a tick before, but, it's hard to put on her back cuz her furs so thick. The vet talked me into getting a tick collar so I guess I'll try it out. She'll be taking the Sentinal for heartworm and fleas. We'll see how it goes.

As a longtime dog owner/lover I've used Frontline Topspot for my dogs fleas, ticks, etc. A black lab with really thick fur gave me problems because the topspot would set on his neck for what seemed too long and he would begin to get ticks on his hind/underquarters before it spread over his skin. This was in Georgia, home of ticks. I found by dragging the applicator along his back in several parallel stripes, the med would spread faster and he didn't have a multiday patch on his neck I couldn't touch.

I do something similar with Advantix, which also instructs one to put all the product between the shoulder blades. I put a squeeze between the shoulder blades, another at the base of the tail, a third in the middle of the back, then apply the rest at spots in between until the applicator is empty.

Push the applicator tip in the opposite direction of the fur lay (part the fur if you can) so the applicator tip is buried under the fur up against the skin, then give a squeeze. I would not just apply it to the top of the fur. Get it against the skin.

That's one of my fave places anyhow. I love driving up there and walking 200 yds and camping right on the AT.

I have one old alarm clock that I really like, have had it for 20 years, and the only issue is that it is hard programmed for the old DST weekends. Where in the Honduras are you Shadowmoss? I took a vacation there years ago diving in the Bay Islands, then spent the weekend in Copan. The village of Copan is very cool and the Mayan ruins were awesome.

Central Hondo. US installation that Rock may have spent some time in. I have not yet made it to the Bay Islands or Copan, although both are on my list. I got homesick and spent some of my traveling money to come back to the US for a few days in Feb. If not before, then by Memorial Day I'll head one direction or the other. I've been pricing bus fare. I took a bus to San Pedro Sula, and lived to tell about it, so a bus to La Ceiba and a ferry ride to Roatan is on the horizon. Come on down and I'll take off work and meet you.
