Clear your messages! Lol. I tried to send you a message and it says you cant accept anymore.

I was wondering if you could post some pictures of your hammock hanger you built, particularly the angle of the uprights and the fastening system.

Thanks man.

I'll get on it. I assume you are talking about the fence post one, or do you mean the wooden one?

The wooden 4x4 one. I tried to explain in the message I attempted to sent.... hint, hint...

Lowes sells a hammock hangar for over $100 made of cheap steel. I saw yours and figured I'd just build one. If you could give me the dimensions and the way you fastened the pieces together it would save me time and save me the resource I have the least of right now, brain power....

I'll have to go out and measure it. Seems like I just bought a couple of eye bolts, some strap hinges, some wood screws, and a treated 2x4. I just sort of eyeballed the angle.

Yeah, that's all I'm looking for. Really your fastening system holding the uprights in place.

Still a lot of snow down where I have it. not the greatest pictures in the world. The top of the cut for the bottom of the stand is 2" longer on each side than the bottom. I would probably make them stand a little straighter if I did it again, the angle was just a little too much IMO. The 4x4's are 2 each 10' - I just trimmed the ends for the bottom and cut the half in equal lengths.

Thanks man. Just what I was looking for.

yea but why did you do it, no nearby trees, or not enough space in the basement?

no trees in the yard suitable for an overnight hang.
