At the request of a user I have just installed an app to make the forum work with Android phones and iPhones. I don't know if it will make the forum more user friendly or not for these users, but we hope it does. Give it a try.:cguru:

It depends if the Tapatalk app is available for your tablet. A search should answer your question.

Want to really get old school? Get party lines on a smart phone.

That's what we had when I was a kid, growing up on the beach in NC.

Where's my fffin' cane. You damn kids get off my lawn.

You have to pay the phone company extra? I don't think they even offer pulse up here.

Does 911 work properly? Might be worth asking someone.

I have a POS radio shaft $12 phone hooked up for when the juice goes out.

But, even it is a tone.

Long as the 911 works.:) Never know when you might need reinforcements for the perimeter.

I have three old black rotary phones in use and 2 or 3 in reserve.
I got into a bar fight (wasn't my fault) in the Army in Germany (oops). The guy I was with hit another guy so hard with one of those handsets that it about exploded. I thought he'd killed the guy but in a few seconds the guy popped up swinging. Ah...the good old days.

Thats fine - we hung on to one in the basement for years - because it would work if the power failed... One day my son at the time was ten... asked to call mom and I pointed to the phone - he stared at the rotary dumbly....

we all had a good laugh!

Had to give it up when electric company stopped accepting rotary calls.

Steven Jobs, 56, pioneer in the smart phone, and smart computer industry, died today. I never owned an Apple, but he was my hero for many decades as an enemy of the status quo, and a champion of innovation.

Yup. I've done that. I love virtual machines. I've got Solaris running inside of Windows, along with Ubuntu.

I'm gonna lose the Solaris install, though. Just don't have time to learn it, along with everything else.

Don't do it Rock. For some reason it really bothers TM, and others. That alone makes it worth leaving the signature.:beer:
