Been doing some revisions to the trail guides I wrote for various trails I've been lucky enough to hike.

These guides are what I call "Quick and Dirty".

Hits the highlights, gives an overview and helps makes sense of all the various planning material out there.

Can also be useful for giving to people who want to know more about the trail being done...

Check it out...

Any chance you'll make one for the TRT? I'm planning to walk it this summer.

Sorry for your loss mags.

To Rock: You have misrepresented yourself in the title of this thread. I was expecting a guide on Pink Blazing. I am dissapointed....

Sorry to hear about your loss Mags.

I've been dreaming of the PCT since I saw Jester's video. I plan to give that guide a good study today.

PCT bear canister...

The areas where you are absolutely required to have that: that starts at about Kennedy Meadows and ends about where?

Mags, love the PCT guide...filled in a bunch of answers to questions (mostly about fricken Kalifornia regulations). Well done!

Thanks for the kind words and condolences all.

Rock, the need for bear canisters ends after Yosemite roughly.

Thanks. Now if I could just win a couple of million so I could afford to become a full time hiking bum.

You and I both. I'm in domestic mode right now. If only I could be like many people in Boulder and have a trust fund. :)

For now, I'll just continue on my plan that should free up 2-3 months a year for hiking.
