camped there a few times but only stayed in the cabin once

Hobbes is nice in the winter, when you can stoke up a fire and really enjoy it. In the summer, you're much better off at Alum, where you can hike over to Greeter Falls, or Savage Falls campsite. Good swimming. Hobbs has lousy ventilation in warm weather, and the spring gets pretty questionable.

I stayed there once, not as comfortable as my hammock and mice got my peanut butter....I was a newbie then.lol
