poole's bbq in ellijay.

not familiar with any bbq joints in blue ridge. not sure if the Pink Pig in cherry log is still open.

poole's in ellijay is supposely republican.pink pig in cherry log is democratic.Jimmy picture is there and is his favorite.apparently he sold his cabin on walnut mountain in elijay where he fly-fished on turnpintine creek.at one time martha stewart had exclusive acreage on that creek--no kidding

the BBQ place in Booger Hollow has some real good Q - not that I would call it close to the BMT since it is between Blairsville and Neel Gap but ... hey its good Q

I like the breakfast at Bennetts bbq but I can beat there bbq without much trouble. Commercial bbq places have to dumb down there bbq for the general public, something I don't have to do.
