also saw some Romanys on the verge making camp,i stopped for a bit and had a chat,i chucked a few roma words in ,this seemed to make them better at ease, they had some fine running dogs and a few 'shushi' or as we know them rabbits, hanging inside theyre 'vardo' thats wagon to you and i.

i am in Wiltshire,England. here in the rural parts we often see them usually as they pass through on their way to summer work or back to their wintering grounds.theres one old couple i havent seen this year, last year they were in their 80's and were 'married' when samuel was 17 and Del was 14 had 11 kids between them been on the road all their lives.

lol a bender is also the slang for a homosexual here too!

a bender is a round dome type shelter made by pushing hazel stix into the ground and then bending them over and tying to the opposite one, then weave smaller stix around it to strengthen, then a huge tarp is lad over and secured or other materials, often a douple layer is used with bracken or leaves/hay between for insulation, once a wood burner is lit they get surprisingly warm.

Which proves that english will never catch on in the states.

It was this kind of shit that caused the revolution. It had nothing to do with taxation. If it did we'd be revolting now.

a bender in these parts is a form of lifestyle .

Gypsies are quite common in europe, not so much here.

I had a gypsie girl in 1965. By god it was good to be young. They were not thought well of in Germany. During the war they used to pre-heat the ovens with them.
