View Full Version : REI Mall of Georgia
This store no longer has scratch and dent sales. They now keep these items out all the time so you never know what you might see for sale as returned equipment out for sale. It's a new pilot program for REI and is only being tried in this store. Something to think about.

So what did you think of the pilot program?
So what did you think of the pilot program?
I kind of understand it. Why store up all that stuff, taking up valuable space for a sale only 1 or 2 times a year?

On the surface it also makes sense because it keeps people checking in to see what might be available. We do the same sort of thing when we get a big donation at our Habitat ReStore. We only put it out in stages so when folks come into the store, they don't always see the same merchandise. We've found they're more likely to check in every week if they think they might miss something.
I will most likely visit the store more often. Just to see what is available.

it makes sense to me, keeps customers coming in to see what's out, no mob scenes or long lines to wait in. that store is small and has very limited warehouse space plus i work at that store location so it keeps me busy dragging out more gear.

if the photo is hosted on another accessible site select the Insert Photo icon, select the From URL tab, put in the URL of where the photo is located AND uncheck the Retrieve remote file and reference locally check box
if up loading the photo from the computer enter the message with the photo then copy the link location from the thumbnail and use that in the above procedure (I think - not something I usually do - I just leave them as thumbnails when I upload them)
thanks HOI, i'll start working on it.
