Two of my boys have today decided to research making a HOBO STOVE, they looked on forums and on you tube then with some guidence on using power tools made them,heres some pics of the final products which will be used tomorrow:

very cool......becoming a stovie is a slippery slope and can become very addictive. My wife claims I have a problem with that. sheeeeesh!!

I think as a stove addict you can eventually get "burnt out".

It looks like you had them cut up a wire mesh shopping basket. Did you by chance pinch that from the local grocer? : )

no i but them when ever they are for sale at our local recycling centre,usefull for all manner of tasks,this one had no handles ,i guess thats why it was there.

Just a suggestion....

When you cut the bottom hole for inserting the heating can, you can save the piece you cut out to make a door to save the heat after lighting it.

Nice job on the stoves. It looks like an even nicer job on the kids. For parents, children our our most importaqnt jobs.
