a competitor to the Dutchware Tarp Flyz (http://dutchwaregear.com/images/thumbnails/0/400/400/IMG_1577.jpg) has a nice looking product - the LoopAlien from Canny Designs - link (http://www.cannydesigns.com/)

note in general I'm biased against any of these hardware doodads but I will say that this LoopAlien design is definitely better looking than the Tarp Flyz wrt the possibility of not tangling the tarp lines when stuffed with the device still attached to the ridgeline cords (a real problem I have had with the Tarp Flyz) and also wrt the possibility of using different size cords such as 200 lb dyneema fishing line (0.80 mm)

all that said it is still unlikely that I would use one just due to my bias - I just don't like stuffing metal doodads in with my tarp - especially so now that I've upgraded to a cuben fiber tarp

Looks promising, no edges or tarp pinch points to worry about. MedicineMan will be all over this.

I thought it amusing that the same day that Dutch announces a sale on cinch buckles, Gary at Readystrap announced that his supply of cinch buckles was limited because his supplier told him that somebody had bought out the entire supply. Readystrap at the time was selling cinch buckles at a much lower price than Dutch was.

Hehe HOI....but at least these, as was POINTED out, dont' have the POINTs for my tarp.
Hey wait a minute. I haven't used a tarp in almost 2 years. So it doesnt have the points
to stick into my hammock sock.
I did order an odd number so I can bling one on a necklass HA!
Real issue is promoting this new guy, who knows what he'll come up with next.
Surely on this forum I can say GOD BLESS CAPITALISM AND INGENUITY.

On this forum you can say pretty much whatever you want. In fact, you are encouraged to do so. :)

DON'T buy as much ammo as you can! It's creating a shortage that's making it hard for me to get enough to go to the range!!!

Besides that, carry on.

I know of at least three people in my church that carry. I think we're covered if some nut wants to start something.

They arrived. They are smooth. Heading out on another kind of trip in a couple of days so it will be a while before I can sport them, probably at BSF....trying to remember if that is before or after LBL ???
