Kentucky, a very well known state in United States of America, is another desired destination for performing hiking. With trails dotting the landscape of the Commonwealth, hike infatuated individuals will discover innumerable American state hiking adventures. Are you able to get off the crushed part?...

Welcome. A/S/L? Just kidding! What part of the country ( world ) are you from and what kind of hiking are you interested in?

" what kind of hiking are you interested in? "
I haven't met her but I would guess it's the type where you step forward with your right foot, transfer weight to your right foot, step forward with your left foot, transfer weight to your left foot,.....
Or as the Madison Ave. crowd likes to say; Lather, rinse, repeat!

I'll bet almost everyone who was ever in the military out of habit/training steps off with the left foot.

I thru-hiked shortly after leaving the Marine Corps, and I intentionally stepped off on my right foot at Amicalola. I even had my bearpaw tattoo on my right ankle, since it was my way of stepping off on a civilian life.

Her only question was whether any of us wanted to click on the advertising/spam links in her signature line. Go ahead and read the "articles" in the link, they're hilarious. I think they were written in a foreign language and then turned into English using google translate or a similar site.

or was it because CT people are so up tight their zoning prohibits fun but allows mosquitoes.

It doesn't matter ...they can't do it. They mix a martini and sniff packs.

No not at all.....we go to the pack shop, and buy the latest gizmo stove, with all that disposable income we are suppose to have. Besides, I don't like gin, I like rum!

You may notice that I make sweeping unsubstantiated generalities that 87.3% of the people feel aren't as meaningful as they seem.

I still think of Old Saybrook as it was 40 to 50 years ago. There were all those little cottages near the beaches that were just summer homes. Then they were insulated and enlarged to the maximum zoning would allow. The Clam Castle was right across the river from where I lived in Guilford. There were no hotels except for that one right on the water. Rte 1 only had light traffic....can you imagine. There was a one old man liquor store that sold to teenagers. I used to do business with Capt. Jack's Marina. Jack must be dead by now. Before my mother passed she told me that getting me out of Staven was one her better parenting moves.

We sent our son to St. Bernadettes and then ND westhaven. What was the name of that place just over the river into Madison on the south side of Rt.1? We would always stop there on the way back from my mothers friends who lived on that road at Mark Ford.

The Hob Nob. That used to be a small diner on the other side of the road. The original owner that built the business was a great cook....but when he made a meatball grinder he'd put his hand right into the boiling sauce and pick out the meatballs. His hands were all scars from years of doing that. He claimed that he had no feeling left in his hands.

3/4 different tries at college, he tried to scare his mother with the Marine Corps, but he had an auto wreck and has a rod in his femur. He now works for Metro North. He's a good kid, always works hard. he had a bout with booze but he's good now.
The Hob Nob!!!!!!!!!! Yea, now I remember! That diner is now a pizza place.....'somethin' Tomato.....I forget. And the Hob Nob building is a rug store now.
