picked up a couple new tuna packs that look good for hiking - Bumble Bee Albacore Tuna with Jalapeņos & Olive Oil and Bumble Bee Albacore Tuna with Sundried Tomatoes & Olive Oil. The one with jalapeņos was quite good IMO and I expect the sundried tomatoes one to be just as good. Both packs are 2.5 ounce contents

I'm guessing that eating tuna causes a person to drive a jeep....and we know what that leads to.

Rosaleen

There ar SO many stories circulating about Fukishma fall out dangers, it is hard to know what to believe. Yes, our Pacific fish is being tested. I'm thnking I don't want to eat recently canned Alaskan salmon, at least. Tuna? Warnings have been out for years to limit how much one eats per week due to mercury, maybe other heavy metals. Albacore (white) tuna is a bigger danger than "light" tuna, supposedly. Wonder may be right about worrying when the government starts saying we are safe. Such assurances are affirmations that there are reasons to be concerned and officials may just be wanting to reduce panic. I haven't checked it out yet, but have heard that already endangered polar bears are losing fur from radiation. How long will it take for our ground water to be contaminated. Never mind, contamination from fracking may get us first...

I was there when they first started using agent orange in our TAOR. There were two areas in Vietnam that got completely covered in Vietnam...the 1st ID and a Marine area up north. By the time Clyde got there it didn't matter where you were because the whole country was soaked in that shit. The US government paid me $2400 for being exposed to AO but the woman I was living with stole that money and more. Oh, did I mention that she was an officer of the court.

Clyde's got a point. With all the stuff we've been exposed to maybe it will preserve us. DDT, AO, asbestos and who knows what else. I used to live near Vermont Yankee power plant. About every 6 months they'd find some radiation where it wasn't supposed to be. One time they found a pile of gray ash on the lawn outside of the reactor. Then they'd get caught lying about it. They sucked. I think they closed the place.

Thanks HOI. Folks from both NH and VT came together united against Vermont Yankee, not because every nook and cranny of the place is full of radioactive shit they can't get rid of, not because it has had many, many safety issues. It was because the bastards can't tell the truth about anything on their best day. Then to fix the issue they just transfer the public information officer to another atomic power plant and bring in a new professional liar. I'm not a protesting sort but if I were that would be the place to protest.

I have a friend who worked as a nuclear rent-a-tech. He did the shutdown/cleanout/restart.
The Savannah river plant used to have open containment ponds.
He forgot to take off his dosemeter (sp?) when he was going home. It went off! when he neared his truck!
Turns out, not the truck, but the bird poop on the truck.
Lovely.

Wow.

Making power using Limricks.

I could make a fortune.

There once was a hiker named Harts
Who hiked all the trails in these parts
His ate lunch on the Trails
Made from fish with nuclear scales
And he cleared out the shelters with his farts

In National Forest and State Park
Amongst the black bear and the lark
The Tuna from the nukes
Made him up and puke
But the good thing was it glowed in the dark

I just made a light bulb go on in Conroe.
