Windscreen burn through

Sgt Rock,
I have made several windscreens based on your instructions on the site. I hadn't had any problems until I got a Snow Peak Titanium solo pot. I did the same as with previous windscreens, but after several uses I have hotspots that created holes. They are basically where the flame comes around the bottom of the pot. Stove is Brasslite Turbo I so not sure if that has something to do with it. Primarily was using cat stove before. could it be a bad batch of Aluminum?

Sounds like the aluminum may be substandard to what I am using. I did once get this sort of thing with a Cat stove when I had the windscreen too tight. Try a 1/4" air gap.

I have had similar problems with Aluminum flashing sold in rolls.
I switched to Aluminum dryer duct and have not had any problems. It
appears to be much more robust.
