Daisy told me to stop watching the news. Not only is she prone to violence but she's wicked bossy. In the interest of marital harmony and nor wanting another humiliating beating I compromised. I switched the UK news. They sound a lot more civil but they can be a bit weird. They were going on and on about gangs murdering each other which sounded like most any city until they got to the end and casually mentioned that the murderer made his escape on his mother's bicycle. So not only did the murdered get dead but they were killed by someone who rides his mothers bike. That's got to hurt even worse. I'm thinking the only way it could be worse is if the murderer also lives in his mom's basement.

PS The UK is voting to pull out of the EU. This can't be taken for granted since the Scotts after generation of bitching about England they voted to stay part of England. It seems to me that British only seem sane. Remember the saying "only mad dogs and Englishmen would be out in the mid day sun.

We had bank robbers who made their getaway on a public bus in plain sight of witnesses. One witness followed the bus to their motel and called the cops. It was not a high speed chase by any measure, but a little faster than a bicycle.

I was in college when Animal House hit the big screen. My friend and I caught the matinee and could not believe the antics - it was totally us! We brought our whole fraternity down after dinner. I thought we would get busted for all the yelling and screaming as we identified each screen character as one of ours. Then the scene came up where they were tearing down the fraternity and removed the Tau, and it read Delta Chi for a few seconds (the name of our Fraternity). Well, I never heard a cheer that loud in a movie theater! That night I remember clearly, many other nights, not so much.
