SGT Rock's Hiking H.Q. - Excel Packing List

Last updated: 01/26/2003

Here is the latest version of my load planner. I started from scratch to make this one, hopefully you can find it as useful as I do. I recently added some better formulas to allow checking off gear if you have it, new formulas for getting a planned vs. actual weights, and protected cells to avoid accidental deletion of the formulas.

A feature included in the workbook allows you to plan your menu in the menu planner, then the resulting day weight is imported into the spread sheet for pack weight.

Another cool feature is the goal calculator. I made this to help me reduce pack weight, and to do so based on my lean body mass. There is a calculator to help you determine your approximate lean body mass. It isn't perfect, but it may help.

To see these you must have IE 4.01 or later and Microsoft Office 2000 installed. I'm trying to fix this so anyone can view them, so bear with me.

If this doesn't work for you, please send me an e-mail so I can figure out how to make it work better.

Basically it is an interactive load planner. The weights listed here and the gear list itself are what I am planning as my new packing list. Things listed that I haven't bought yet are:

Aqua Mira

This may take a while to load, be patient!
